Academic entry requirements Entry into undergraduate courses (for example a bachelor degree) generally requires you to have completed a secondary school qualification equivalent to an Australian Year 12 certificate. Indian School Certificate (issued by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) Completed with a average score of at least: 60% All India Senior School Certificate (issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education) Completed with a average score of at least: 60% Higher Secondary Certificate/Intermediate Certificate from State Board Completed with a average score of at least: 65% Entry into a graduate certificate or graduate diploma generally requires you to have completed an undergraduate qualification that is comparable to an Australian bachelor degree. Entry into a masters degree requires you to have completed an undergraduate qualification that is comparable to an Australian bachelor degree, honours degree or graduate diploma. Entry into a research program (postgraduate study) requires completion of: • an honours degree, or • a masters degree by coursework with a research component, or • an equivalent qualification from an approved university. If you have a masters degree that did not include a research component, you may be eligible for our PhD (Integrated) program. The university will assess your eligibility when they receive your complete international research degree application. In some cases, courses will require additional requirements for entry to a VU course. You may need to provide information such as: • proof of work experience • a portfolio or folio of works • a police check or working with children check from your usual country of residence • a supplementary information form.
